Game Development

Pre-prototype to Prototype - The game started off as a single-player basketball game that features a freestyle mode, an arcade-like shooting mode, and a rhythm mode. Characters were modelled and the level was being planned out.

Alpha - The arcade-like shooting mode is taken away as it was seen as redundant and only the freestyle-mode and rhythm mode remains. The game at this stage is still pretty fresh and only the character model was completed. At this stage, we were still pretty new to game development's process as a whole and thus felt a little lost and progress was slow.

Beta - The game completely shifts towards the rhythm mode as including other modes would mean over-scoping the project and we would be unable to complete it in time before the due date in Week 18 of the semester for the viva. At this stage, things were being reconsidered and assets are decided from the start. From this point on, we got a vision of the game and are beginning to work faster with this new vision in mind and managed to produce a playable with minimum textures.

New Beta - The game's main environment is now being polished to a greater level while keeping our theme consistent. New gameplay mechanics will be added alongside miscellaneous features to make the game more interesting and re-playable.

Pre-release - Our game is largely polished. All gameplay mechanics have been added, this includes our Fever Mode. At this stage, our game can be released to the public, although, more can be improved on to make it even better.
